A tall decorative grass in the grass (Poaceae) family which forms a compact funnel-shaped bunch that is wider at the top than at the bottom. The linear, long and delicate bluish-green leaves curve elegantly and gently sway in the breeze. Inflorescences have a net structure and pale reddish-brownish undertones that fade to silver in late summer. It prefers fertile, moist but permeable soil. You can propagate it in the spring by division. Silver grass is always trimmed in the spring.
