Cherry Nymph is a truly eye-catching and vibrant red amaryllis (Hippeastrum) that brings lively color and energy to the winter season. This variety features large, densely double petals that form lush and elegant blooms. The plant typically flowers in mid-winter, adding brightness and beauty to indoor spaces where the days are dark and gray.
### Growing Instructions 🌱
🪴 Choose a pot that isn’t too large—just a few centimeters should remain between the bulb and the pot’s edge. Use airy and well-draining soil, such as special bulb flower soil. Plant the bulb so that about one-third remains above the soil surface.
☀️🌡️ Amaryllises love light! If possible, place the plant in a sunny windowsill. Initially, the temperature should be cooler (around 15-18°C) as this encourages better rooting. Later, the temperature can be raised to help the flowers open.
💧 Initially, water moderately and wait for the first flower stalk to appear. After that, water regularly, but do not let the soil stay too wet—amaryllises prefer the soil to dry out slightly between watering. Always check the soil moisture to avoid overwatering.
🌸💚 When the flowers bloom, your home will become a true flower garden! The blooms can last several weeks. When the flowers begin to wither, cut them off, but leave the leaves intact, as they gather energy for the next season.
😴 Once all the leaves have dried, let the plant rest for a couple of months. During this time, keep the soil almost dry and place the plant in a cooler location. In the fall, you can bring the bulb back out and start the growth cycle again.
Growing is easy, and “Cherry Nymph” will reward you with lush and beautiful flowers every winter!
