Tulip Red Riding Hood (Tulipa greigii ‘Red Riding Hood’) brightens a spring garden with dramatic scarlet blooms. Its 20cm wide scarlet flowers reveal a black base and the outside of the petals have deeper red (carmine) color. The leaves are variegated with green and purple, giving the plant interest after the blooms have faded. Sometimes call Rock Garden Tulips, at 15-30cm tall, Red Riding Hood is a top pick for rock gardens, borders, containers, and mixed with mid-spring Daffodils.
