Description

It is hybrid between C. variegatum and C. autumnale forming clusters of very heavily-chequered violet-rose flowers in September. This is one of the most intensely chequered colchicums. The flowers are followed by small blue-green leaves which are never ungainly or floppy. An excellent, free-flowering, easy growable, but one that has become increasingly scarce now
