Propagation Plants started from plump bulbs grow fastest and produce the best flowers. Large bulbs eventually split down the middle. You can pull apart the two sections of the bulb and plant them separately. Asiatic lily bulbs produce bulblets, which are small bulbs that grow around the main bulb. They also produce seed pods that appear after the flowers fade.
