Allium karataviense RED GIANT

Description

Don’t let this new allium’s short stature fool you! Red Giant is a dynamo in the late spring to early summer landscape. Though it may be low growing at only 15-20cm high, it bears huge, purple red, ball shaped blooms heads that are sure to attract all the right attention. It makes an ideal accent plant for front borders, feature beds and cutting gardens. Its bold color and unique scent lures hummingbirds, butterflies and bees to the 10-12cm flower clusters, but repels deer and other pesky critters.
